One of the most influential composers of the 20th century, Karlheinz Stockhausen, died before he could finish his last composition,
KLANG: The 24 Hours of the Day. The composition consisting of 21 compositions and 20+ players is an intricate undertaking to produce, but Analog Arts and Elizabeth Huston took on this challenge and Klang was performed in Philadelphia in April 2018.
I designed the poster, program cover, postcard and social media assets. Stockhausen had dedicated a color for each composition, which was translated for print using the German HKS color charts. I used this color chart for the main poster design.
